About the event
The GB&I Chapter are starting an annual competition dedicated to the memory of Golden Age architects with a trip to Dr Alister MacKenzie's first two designs, Alwoodley and Moortown. Moortown was also the first course to host the Ryder Cup outside of the US.
On day one we will play a stableford individual competition for The MacKenzie Cup. Day two will be a friendlier pairs competition. There will also be a prize for the lowest individual stroke play score over the two days. As it is Masters weekend, we will retire to the bar after dinner and speeches to watch the final Sunday pairings.
The cost of the trip will be £225, which covers 18 holes at Alwoodley, 18 holes at Moortown with dinner, bed & breakfast at the 4 star Weetwick Hotel nearby. An additional £25 may be paid for an individual room.
